June 27, 2008--New York City Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Announces Appointment of New Global Business Director by Nancy Ploeger Ally Gunduz, who has over twenty years of experience in international business development was recently appointed as MCC's Global Business Director. She most recently served for nearly a decade as Trade Commissioner for the Swiss Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Consulate General of Switzerland in New York. Her dedication to international trade is noted with achievements for establishing the first department in the Swiss Commercial Service dedicated to promoting the international role, leadership, and professional development of women in international business. She is the founder of the Swiss American Council of Women, a non-profit organization providing Swiss and international women a platform for professional visibility and networking. Her diversified background as a small business owner with experience in public service, investment banking, capital markets and textiles has earned her the reputation of being a successful business developer with a special talent for identifying new transatlantic business opportunities. Ms. Gunduz has authored publications and market research regarding variety of industries and is a professional researcher. As the Global Business Director, Gunduz will be responsible for working with our Global Business Committee in enhancing opportunities for our members in the global marketplace. She will be the MCC's liaison to the global business community in both the private and public sectors in NYC, including bi-lateral chambers, trade associations and consulates. In addition, she will be working with trade delegations, both incoming and outgoing, on behalf of our chamber members and develop products, programs and services to aid in global expansion.
