Small Business Ownership  – Essential Information for the Beginner

Have you asked yourself the following questions:

·         Do you have a business plan?

and

·         Do you have enough capital to get your business idea off the ground?

·         Are you willing to take the risks of loss associated with assuming debt?

·         Can the business generate enough cash to pay its expenses?

·         What are the chances for a profit?

·         Are your management skills adequate for developing the business operations?

·         Do you have the necessary skills to market and sell your product or service?

·         Is there a demand for your product or service?

·         Who is your competition?

·         Have you done research on market demand?

·         Did you do your research thoroughly?

·         Do you know everything about local state and federal business requirements?

·         Do you know experts in the field of law, taxation, banking?

·         Are you computer literate?

·         Did you visit the Small Business Administration in your town?

·         Do you know Business and Trade Associations that could be of assistance?

·         Have you contacted the local Chamber of Commerce?

If you can answer all of these questions with “yes” – you are off to a good start!

Congratulations!
